Hello once again friends, I've returned once again
to continue my story! I hope you enjoy it! |
Last time we spoke, I had told you how I had murdered a violent man who charged at me from across a bridge. I felt a little regretful for killing him, but it was either my life or his, how could I possible choose? Anyway, my adventure of course continues as follows.
I decided to check this man's island to see what was so special about it that was worth guarding. Sadly, there was not much of anything. It was a wonderful island, though. Good green grass, a house, and some good surrounding water. Sadly though, none of those was very useful to me at the time, so I left quickly, in case someone might see me near the dead man. While I was leaving, I heard the funeral bells again, my they are fast to know when someone dies! If there is something those Mormons are good at, it's finding out that people are dead. Nothing else about them is all that great, though.

There was also an announcement being sounded, so I went over to my castle to hear it. I was calmy walking up to my castle walls when suddenly, a Mormon very rudely grabbed me! He seemed to not accept what I had been doing in town earlier. Reluctantly, I let him drag me over to the Sheriff, who promptly told the me, "Criminal, I intend to teach thee a lesson that thou wilt never forget - let him hang!"
The guard then dragged me off to be hanged, but I would have nothing of this! Just as we approached the site of my hanging, I escaped! The guard didn't know what to do in the confusion, and I used this to my advantage. While he was staring dumbly, I stepped back quietly and let loose an arrow, which hit him right on the spot. He fell, and it was then I noticed that a whole crowd of villagers was watching! I was nervous of what they would think, but suddenly, one of the pretty maidens cheered for me. It made me happy, even if it was only one person.

With the action being over, everyone left to attend to their chores. Wondering whatever I should do next, I saw that annoying Marian walking along my castle walls. I decided to follow her and have word with her. She was kind enough to me, but I kept my distance. Who knows what that wench would do if I came too close to her. We quickly seperated, and I decided that a visit to the good priest would be a splendid idea. I sped to the house of the priest, ignoring the people who were saying I was a lousy hero.

The priest was considered a strange man by many, and judging by his appearance, he was quite the odd one. However, I had learned to trust him in the worst of times. I asked him if he could assist me in any way, and thankfully he had something I could use.
"Welcome, Robyn. I, Aelfstan, priest of the Sacred grove of Herne the Hunter, have a gift for thee..." he had told me, as he handed a strange looking orb. He explained that if I were to look into it, I could see much farther than my own eyes could possibly see. After thanking him and going on my way, I decided to give it a try. When I looked into it, I saw a map of the general area. The crystal ball also somehow allowed me to see the locations of everyone. It was truly a sight to see!

After I had studied the patrol routes of the guards, I decided it was time to take them down, Robin style. I waited alongside the entrace to my castle walls, where one of the mormons liked to patrol the area. While he was staring at wall for some odd reason, I yelled "Tally Ho!" and struck him with an arrow. I quickly retreated to the western wall to hide from anyone who might come to investigate. Using my crystal ball, I could see them performing the funeral from a distance. I then decided it was time for my next target, though I was getting a bit tired. I had noticed one guard who was late to the funeral, and saw a chance to take him down. He was still unknowing of my agenda. While he ran, I aligned myself and fired a shot, which struck him down. He probably didn't even know what hit him! Two guards in one sitting was enough, so I decided to take it easy for a few days.
When summer came, a dragon invaded the town. I quickly went to challenge it, and it was a fearsome beast indeed! I fired an arrow at it, but unlike the wimpy Mormon guards, this dragon was not going to drop without a fight! It came at me at a great speed, and knocked me down.

Ignore the fact that this picture
says I died, I obvious did not die. This is just the closest approximation
to the pain I felt. |
It was a mighty hit, and I thought for the moment that I was finished! But before the vile dragon could do anything worse, it was shot down by a mysterious man! It was City Hunter! He pulled me up and I thanked him dearly for rescuing me and the town. But he had a serious expression, and I knew the danger wasn't over yet. He took me to another world, where I would go on an even more important quest.
Here ends my adventure. Obviously, it doesn't quite live up to the marvelous stories, but it is the truth. - Robin
