New site for my upcoming serial

I've just about finished up work on the new site to host my upcoming serial fiction. You can check it out here (http://meeki-and-braya.pcurzi.net/).

There isn't much on it at this very moment since I'm not actually done writing it yet. However, there's still a small bit of introductory text to read there. If anything you should view the embedded youtube video featuring a guy with a great beard. I'm a very generous guy to introduce you to a man of such beardly goodness.

Did I say, a few days ago, that I would post a progress report? I don't know what you're talking about. I would never promise something I know I'd be too lazy to do! Instead, you can have a clip from one of the greatest shows on earth:

Why Garfield is Stupid Dumb: Saturday

This message brought to you by the ultimate hacker, the one and only...

Pious Paste!

Hello you god damn PC using NERDS! It's me, Paste,
the ultimate hacker who hacks with a Dreamcast! I used my deecee to
hack this stupid idiot website YET AGAIN because that pcurzi guy is
such a damn fool. This web server uses Linux, which is a horrible
operating system. The only good OS is the one in the dreamcast, of
course. So what is that stupid dumb doing these days? Oh yes, that
ridiculous Garfield crap. I'll show you how to REALLY review a
Garfield comic, you PC using fuckers.

God this strip is...

Dream Operator and site-love

Here is one of my favorite songs as of late. It's Dream Operator by Talking Heads. This is the version that appears in David Byrne's True Stories. Definitely one of my favorite scenes in the movie.

There is another version which is sung by David Byrne himself. It's the same overall song, but I like his singing voice better. It is more meaningful in movie form, though.

In unrelated news, this site is suddenly in love with meeki.net again. pcurzi.net has always been a very amorous sort of thing in that way. Speaking of Meeki, I'll probably be posting...

Why Garfield is Good: Friday

I feel like I've woken up from a terrible dream. In
this dream, I fell through an endless corridor, and there were a lot
of orange cats hanging off the sides. As my falling body fell
through, they were clawing at me terribly, and I died from my
injuries. It was completely awful.

You know, before I say anything at all about the
comic, I want to address something very important. It has to do with
this “Bill Watterson” guy. Yeah, I'm bringing him into this, I'm
summoning mister “GARFIELD IS CONSISTENT!!”

What's your problem, Watterson? Consistent? WRONG!
Garfield is the most dynamic comic out there. I don't need jerks...

Why Garfield is Good: Thursday

Hello friends! In one of my previous reviews of
Garfield comics, I had died and went to Heaven. I had a pretty good
time up there, but it turned out that there were problems. God
himself came to my cloud-house and told me that I had to go back to
Earth. I was simply laughing so much at Garfield comics that the
neighbors were getting disturbed, thinking I was some sort of insane
mad man. So here I am again. I guess you could say I have risen
again, meaning I am Jesus. I can't say that with all honesty, though,
so I'll take it back...

Why Garfield is Good: Wednesday

Okay guys, I'm not going to let that Javascript
piece of junk steal my post this time. I'm taking extreme
countermeasures to make sure it doesn't happen again. I am
STRONG!

Now that I have made such a bold statement it is
time to continue on with the unfathomably great Garfield goodness
that has redeemed my soul into Heaven. Remember, if you don't like
Jesus, you can still achieve eternal salvation by enjoying Garfield
comics! Maybe I should start a religion based on it, but that's
beside the point for now.

You won't believe how god damn1 funny
this strip is. I know you can see it there right now, and...

Why Garfield is Good: Tuesday

I actually had prepared a long and insightful post in regards to how Tuesday's Garfield strip is incredibly great. However, fate has dealt me a terrible hand, a hand known as JAVASCRIPT IS A FUCKING BITCH AND CONSUMED MY ENTIRE POST. Sadly, good sirs, I can never reproduce the exact greatness that was my initial post. I will, however, summarize it's finer points. Here is the funny comic, which still makes me erupt in painful laughter even after my terrible loss:

Interesting note to destroy you pessimistic jerks: Image is not copied through all three frames, Jim Davis is NOT so...

Why Garfield is Good: Monday

Greetings, friends. Now, I know a lot of people out there think, Well my good man, Garfield comics aren't very funny. Old chum, that Jim Davis chap sure doesn't know how to write a good comic.

Well then, you English gentlemen, I have taken it upon myself to prove you wrong! You won't be saved by all of your chaps, chums, cheerios, and that other stuff I erroneously think you say. I'm going to do this by presenting the next week of new Garfield comics to you, and I will explain why they are so hilarous. Your mind will...

Garfield Game Minus Garfield

You probably know about Garfield Minus Garfield (http://garfieldminusgarfield.tumblr.com/) already. I decided to see if similar treatment would work for that awful Garfield NES game. So I took a few screenshots and removed the cat to see what would happen.

Nope, I'm not feeling any better about this game so far.

A little better, but the mental anguish I received from playing this game at all is giving me a negative bias.

This game destroyed so many of my brain cells that I won't ever be able to find that god damn dog.

This means game over. In this case, game over means I...

Progress report

I haven't been writing any literature lately which is somewhat of
a depressing reality, but it is surely for good reason. This reason
is that I've been spending a good deal of time planning out the
serial. You'll remember from this old post (http://www.pcurzi.net/index.php/Meeki-News/Meeki-serial-is-down-until-further-notice.html) that I canceled the old
one in order to reshape the project into something better. The
process has gone on for several months and I have finally settled
into a scenario and cast of characters that I am comfortable with.
Whether or not I will actually be successful in any way are still questionable. I can only hope.

So what is going on...

I was walking along the beach today. A relatively routine endeavor to keep fit, of course. My normal routine typically involves walking from one town to another. This is actually only about 20 minutes, but something terrible was afoot.
