Dr Mario blue virus
This is what was happening to my body over the past few days. Gruesome!

I've been sick the past few days. The normal reaction to being sick would probably be "fuck jesus this sucks", and I suppose I did think such things, but somehow I managed to stay content during most of the experience. I'll provide you with a convenient list of things I went through during the ordeal:

  1. Minor sore throat on sunday, gradually leading to nasal congestion towards the end of monday.
  2. Tuesday, I was 100% sick. Headaches and dizziness took hold, and I felt more lethargic than I have been in my entire life.
    1. By lethargic, I mean that I would sit or lay down somewhere and think, "I should try moving somewhere else or something" but when it came time to take action, I simply couldn't move. It wasn't that I was paralyzed, but my motivation for moving even an arm was so low that it took me upwards of 30 minutes to actually go. During such times of immobilization, I was usually in a half-dreamlike state that usually comes with fevers.
    2. The day seemed to drag on forever since I spend about 70% of it somewhere outside the bounds of reality.
  3. On Wednesday I was showing some considerable improvements. I was no longer so dizzy and my temperature was back down to a reasonable level.
    1. I had an enormous headache in the morning. After using the computer for a while, I couldn't take it anymore and went to lay down. After watching Walker, Texas Ranger for an hour, the headache went away. This officially proves that Chuck Norris has some sort of healing power that works through the magic of broadcast television.
    2. For the rest of the day, I was pretty much fine, except that my head was all plugged up through the ears, and I still had a runny nose.
  4. Today I woke up feeling the same as on wednesday, but my runny nose is starting to fall back. I left the house today to visit the bank. Though my head still felt a little funny, I think I was okay. When I had to talk to the bank's drive-through guy, though, my voice was unexpectedly ruined by phlegm blockage in my throat. But it was a strange occasion, because it never happened again after I cleared my throat. I've had sicknesses where my voice is gone for days on end, so it was comforting to see that my voice was only temporarily dead.
  5. At this very moment my shoulder and neck feel sore. My nose is just very slightly stuffy, but is fine for normal and non-sniffly usage.

Okay, that is enough listing. If I list anything else, I will go crazy and destroy the entire planet.

On Tuesday night, I briefly witnessed the strangest thing. I was going to make a little dinner for myself when I noticed that in the dining room, the mother of the family I live with was going absolutely insane. She was yelling at her husband that the spirit of the devil had inhabited him, and followed up with it by shouting priest-like stuff about how his evil will ruin everyone in the house. She was repeating these things for about five minutes while he was screaming at her that everyone will think she is crazy. He tried to get away from her (they were on opposing sides of the dinner table) but she was trapping him in.

Eventually, he vaguely threatened to call the police, but she ignored him and continued. Then something happened that I couldn't quite see. It was dark, but I'm guessing he tried to lunge around her to escape, but she grabbed him and they wrestled a bit. Needless to say, he was pissed about this and dialed some number. He explained to a person on the other end that he was "having a little trouble with his wife". But after a few more words, she gave up her tirade immediately. The house was mostly quiet from that point and on. And the next day, things were normal as if nothing happened. Though I hate these people for certain reasons, I cannot deny that they provide me with some excellent entertainment. Check the top of this page for my last account of their insanity.
