Before getting down to business, this spam mail:

Normally I would not approve of fan-made content regarding anime, especially on youtube. It's mostly because 80% of content made by fans are ridiculously terrible, and if the fandom involves anime, 95% of it is terrible and suicide-inducing. Who needs Doctor Kevorkian when you can just view some awful AMVs, which combine barely listenable music to mostly unrelated "kewl" or "emotional" anime clips? The general message here is that you can't trust the average joe population to provide quality content that is actually worth the space it occupies. I'm probably not exaggerating all that much when I make the claim that 5% of youtube is probably just copies of videos the site already hosts. It's hilarious to see how much a popular video can be blatantly ripped off in order for another use to leech views off the popularity of the original. Of course, more than half of the content in the videos of youtube are made by someone other than the ones posting the video. It's Copyright violence extravaganza!

Considering the above paragraph, I am going to make an uncharacteristic move by recommending that you watch "Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series" by one youtube user named LittleKuriboh.

Now you must be wondering how on Earth can I be suggesting the viewing of this anime-related work? Well, there is a little thing about Yu-Gi-Oh! that you need to recognize if you haven't already: it is the most ridiculous anime in recent history. That's a tall order, but I think this particular show holds the title rather well. Yu-Gi-Oh! has everything you could ever want from a poorly made anime based on a video game:

  1. Plot that barely makes sense, mostly centered around giving as much airtime as possible to dueling.
  2. Poor usage of non-main characters
  3. Doesn't follow the actual game's rules very much
  4. Main character almost always wins due to being excessively overpowered, etc
  5. Characters spend 50% or more of their duels explaining their strategy and/or explaining what just happened (even though it is pretty damn obvious)

As you can see, I believe that Yu-Gi-Oh is pretty damn stupid. The video games are probably much more acceptable, but I can't say this for sure as I have not played them.

In light of these things, I approve of LittleKuriboh's satires, because he decently points out the ridiculousness of the anime and poke fun at the uninteresting and predictable characters and plot. Even if you don't know much about Yu-Gi-Oh!, there is some entertainment to be had just in how silly the show is and how well LittleKuriboh exploits the silliness. It's actually more entertaining to watch these satires than the actual show.

What makes me like it so much in the end is that LittleKuriboh is able to tear the show apart. Most anime fan retards will try to maim you if you ever point out something wrong about their anime, even if the wrongness in question is very blatantly obvious.

My favorite episode is Episode 11, by the way. Kaiba is one rich and powerful sometimes green haired man.
