I was walking along the beach today. A relatively routine endeavor to keep fit, of course. My normal routine typically involves walking from one town to another. This is actually only about 20 minutes, but something terrible was afoot.
Life was wonderful, though a bit windy. My walk was going oh so well, until I fell upon this recently developed geographic landmark:
Yes sir, it was just like the terror that is the Oregon trail! A dangerous river had been created to clear out a nearby lake. The terrible problem was not just that the river was existing and that it was deep enough to wet my socks, but there was absolutely no way to cross because it was reaching all the way out to the ocean:
Since there was no way to cross without risking severe life-threatening disaster, I ended up walking along the other direction of the river until I climbed a sandy hill. After traversing a small stretch of wildlife, I encountered this spooky abandoned RV park:
