Why Garfield is Good: Tuesday

I actually had prepared a long and insightful post in regards to how Tuesday's Garfield strip is incredibly great. However, fate has dealt me a terrible hand, a hand known as JAVASCRIPT IS A FUCKING BITCH AND CONSUMED MY ENTIRE POST. Sadly, good sirs, I can never reproduce the exact greatness that was my initial post. I will, however, summarize it's finer points. Here is the funny comic, which still makes me erupt in painful laughter even after my terrible loss:

Garfield comic

  • Interesting note to destroy you pessimistic jerks: Image is not copied through all three frames, Jim Davis is NOT so lazy.
    • Side note: The fact that a feline creature is watching television is what started me up in the big time laughter. While laughing, I was rolling on the floor with my keyboard in hand, and the keyboard wire tangled around my neck, choking me.
  • Dirk is actually Jon Arbuckle due to their similar "hopeless romantic" position. Jon Arbuckle is obvious supposed to be Dirk, because he is nowhere else in the strip right now.
    • My face is turning blue because I am losing oxygen. I didn't write this in the original post, but I just remembered about it now.
  • Dirk is killed after trying to defend his claim that he can't live without Dolores. This is incredibly funny because it is irony, a tool only usable by masters. Jim Davis is a genius and all of you god damn naysayers are jealous. I know I'm jealous.
  • I have run out oxygen and will die soon. Having to die with the above comic within visual range is pleasing to me. It's good knowing that I will pass away with such a wondrous image.

By the way, I am posting this update from Heaven. It turns out that liking Garfield is about the same as accepting Jesus Christ. Good stuff.
