If you read Gamepolitics, you've undoubtedly come across one of the articles about the girls that left Mario-esque question mark boxes across some town. Apparently people became afraid that the boxes were highly dangerous and called the police about it. The girls, as you will read at that linked article, had to write an apology to some people.

I'm all for people being concerned for safety, but they approached this in the completely wrong manner. Here's what I would have done. I would have picked up the box to measure the weight. If it wasn't too heavy, I would toss it up into the air and position myself under the box. When it comes back down, I would jump with my legs spread out as much as I can. With my right arm risen above my head and my hand fisted, I would hit the box as hard as I could.

If the box contains anything, it will safely fall out. It's as easy as that! No need to call the police to get items out of boxes.
